In Australia we have worked with city councils, government agencies, churches, not-for-profit organisations, communities and companies to deliver tailored workshops. We have trained and coached the conciliators of the Residential Tenancies Authority in Queensland since 2010 and have developed their conciliation skills training program. We have also worked with Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the Queensland Human Rights Commission, Brisbane City Council, the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland, Silky Oaks Family Services and have developed training programs in partnership with Queensland University of Technology for Australia Awards Programs. PaCSIA consultants regularly teach at the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology and collaborate with colleagues at other Australian and overseas universities.
In the Autonomous Region of Bougainville we have contributed to capacity-building programs for community government representatives and have provided professional development and training in community engagement and negotiation to ministers and secretaries. Our Bougainvile Transition Dialogues project has established a group of over 150 local mediators, peacebuilders and facilitators who work together across Bougainville and who contribute to important governance and conflict resolution processes including election monitoring, research and mediation of family, community, land and sorcery disputes.
