We’re proud to announce that the Peace and Conflict Studies Institute Australia (PaCSIA) has partnered with Myriad Australia Limited, enabling supporters of our work to make tax-deductible donations for the first time.
This partnership is a significant step for PaCSIA. Since our founding, our work — including the Bougainville Mental Health Program (BMHP) — has depended on the generosity, trust, and goodwill of the people and communities we work alongside as well as the trust put into us from our funders in Germany, Misereor e.V. and Bread for the World. Formalising this fund with Myriad Australia means that individuals and organisations who want to support PaCSIA’s work can do so with confidence that their gift is well managed, properly governed, and directed toward genuine charitable impact.
What This Means for Donors
PaCSIA is supported by a fund established by Myriad Australia Limited, which has been endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Item 1 since 27 October 2020. Donors can now give knowing their contributions will be tax deductible, carefully managed, and granted to support the purposes of the Bougainville Mental Health Program.
Why It Matters
Every dollar granted through this fund helps sustain the work our team and our partners do on the ground — from mental health training and facilitation in Bougainville to the broader peacebuilding and community dialogue work that PaCSIA supports across the region. This partnership doesn’t change what we do or how we do it. It simply makes it possible for more people to stand behind that work in a way that’s transparent, accountable, and — for Australian taxpayers — tax deductible.

By law, Myriad Australia Limited is required to retain discretion and control over the use of donations to accomplish its charitable programs, which includes the Peace and Conflict Studies Institute Australia (PaCSIA) Fund. This means PaCSIA must remain charitable in purpose and demonstrate the charitable use of funds in order to receive grants from Myriad Australia Limited.
